Where have you gone lovely Muse
Please don’t be such a recluse
Your absence hangs my spirit in the noose
Hard for me to endure this abuse
Come back and lift me up to Zeus
So I can again write my muse
I’ll cook you a yummy goose
My wine will make you nice and loose
Just a few attempts to seduce
I wish you and I could re-produce
Don’t claim that I am bemuse
I promise to put you to good use
Or I will write like Dr. Seuss
Lovely poem 🙂 thanks so much for your comments and visits 😀
Love this song…I was waiting to see this woman start dancing…but oh well:) Loved the piece man…love this kind of music…reminds me of clubs in Europe…wish I could reach out and touch her face and skin:)
Haha, the last line made me smile 🙂
Yes…it was clearly meant to be somewhat funny and provoke at least a crack of a smile….yummy goose should give that away:) Kind of sounds like Dr. Seuss minus the pictures…LOL
Lol.. yeah, it made me smile to. 🙂
There’s really nothing quite like the experience of being wanted/preferred/loved/adored by a woman . . . that rare experience is what this song reminds me of. And though your little poem has a comical tone to it, ultimately I think it expresses as profound longing for that experience. That is why I posted this video here.
Maybe I should think of my Muse as a Man………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………nope…doesn’t work:)
I wish this country had more reasonable internet services, then i wouldn’t miss out so much on all these videos I find posted everywhere! I really should consider migrating. Or getting richer 🙂
I loved your poem (and the pictures).. beautifully written and amusing. Hoping you see her again and write again soon. 😛
Were I the muse, I would appreciate the sentiments but wouldn’t show for dinner, despite the promise of the yummy goose. What with the promise (threat) of intoxication and just a few attempts to seduce (how easy!) 🙂
“… I wish you and I could reproduce..” LOL! Thank God there are so many alternative ways to say that! ( Why can’t I stop laughing?!) Great poem.
LOL…yes you would be right not showing for dinner…the promise would have to be much more profound…like I will devote my heart and soul to your spirit…I will not worship any other Muses or try to be seduced by them or seduce them…and I will devote all my energy to glorify the inspiration which you provide for my muse….is that better???
